With a history of growing olives that began in 1780,
our business in named after the family´s castle that stands on the hill in
the Canena area of Jaén province. On these lands the family´s olive trees are grown,
harvested, their extra virgin olive oil processed and bottled.
We personally supervise the whole manufacture process at Castillo de Canena, which gives our customers full reliance on our company.
Located between the Cazorla Mountains and Magina, our family´s Picual, Arbequino and Royal olive trees can be found.
At Castillo de Canena we combine traditional wisdom with
the most advanced technology and scrupulous respect for the
environment.
All the olive groves are completely mechanized, using
a fertilization and irrigation drip system. The olive groves
are certified as “Integrated Production” that ensures
environmentally friendly practices and a conscientious
cultivation system.
